Clinical Staff Physician

iScope is Canada’s only national multidisciplinary concussion and pain clinic which incorporates physicians and an interdisciplinary team for optimal patient care and outcomes post concussion and in chronic pain. Specialists are available for consultation and collaborative care including neurology, physiatry, interventional neuroradiology and psychiatry. Training in concussion and chronic pain can be provided.

The staff physician provides high-quality patient care by following the standards of clinical practice at iScope Concussion & Pain Clinic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Patient Care and treatment plans
  • Develop and implement plan of care for patients
  • Work in collaboration with the interdisciplinary health care team
  • Maintain clinical competence and knowledge base through continued education and life-long learning
  • Utilize evidence-based practice as a base in the promotion of professional accountability
  • Provide safe, competent and ethical patient care
  • Serve as a resource to the interdisciplinary team and administrative staff in the provision of patient care
  • Investigate and complete follow-up

All physicians who perform procedures including nerve blocks or infusions shall hold:

  • Valid CPSO certificate of registration, and
  • Current BLS certification
  • One of the following:
  • RCPSC or CFPC certification that confirms training and specialty designation pertinent to the procedures performed

CPSO recognition as a specialist that would include, by training and experience, the procedures performed
