Sport Med Physician – Concordia University Varsity Football

Concordia University Varsity Football is searching for a Sports Medicine Physician to provide game day field coverage and clinical hours for the upcoming 2017 USports Football Season.
The Physician will be required to attend all games, home and away, including exhibition and playoffs. The game schedule can be seen at: http://stingers.ca/football/results.php
There is the possibility of hosting 1-2 half clinical days on the Loyola Campus of Concordia University. If not available to work on Loyola campus, they should have a private clinic location nearby in, but not limited to Montreal-West or Notre-Dame-de-Grace. Normal billing practices for RAMQ will be respected and we request the use of third-party billing for out of province and International students.
The team Physician will also be responsible to use their referral base for advanced imaging, and consultations with orthopedic surgeons and other specialists. They will also be in charge of arranging for pre-season medical clearance and post season exit medicals.
Salary for game coverage is $200/game. Away games will include a travel per diem, with transportation provided by the University.
Experience working with high collision sports is an asset, as well as experience working at the University or Professional level.
Training camp opens August 9th, 2017. The season runs until November, and there is a full Winter training and practice schedule which will require additional clinical hours as necessary.
